PASSERELLE

The performance finds its roots in Sophocles' Antigone and boxer Christophe Detinger aka "le Gitan de Massy" defending a woman kicked and clubbed to the ground by the French police force during the "Gilet Jaune" movement on the Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor.

Backed by music by Paskazi, the piece explores our current democratic situation and delves into the feeling of exhaustion, the hurt and the hardening of the heart in the face of relentless oppression.
In today's world, authority has become a monolithic entity that crushes and manipulates the masses. This performance interrogates resistance—political, social, and physical—as the only path to liberation in a world on the brink of collapse.

"Passerelle" is a meditation on the enduring human spirit and a clarion call to awaken and act for a just future.
